The fifteen minutes, itemised

Short by design. Useful on purpose.

A quarter of an hour is enough — if nobody wastes it. Here's the shape your call will take.

MIN 00–03

You talk, we listen

Your situation in your words: what you're trying to do, where you are with it, what's blocking you.

MIN 03–10

We map your options

Honest assessment from someone who does this daily — which routes exist, what each really involves, roughly what things cost, and the mistakes to skip.

MIN 10–14

Concrete next steps

If we're a fit: a clear proposal for what happens next and the numbers around it. If we're not: who to talk to instead. Either answer, plainly.

MIN 14–15

It's in writing

We follow up on WhatsApp with what was discussed and agreed — so the call becomes a plan, not a memory.

Get the most from it

Come with three numbers. Leave with a plan.

Bring if you can

The 60-second preparation

  • What you're buying, selling or moving — as specifically as you can
  • Rough volumes or budget — a range is fine, honesty beats precision
  • Your timeline — "this quarter" and "someday" get different advice
  • What you've tried already — so we don't recommend the thing that burned you
Our side of the deal

What we promise about this call

It's a sales call — we won't pretend otherwise. But it's a sales call under our founding rules: everything in writing, no invented urgency, and the price we quote is the price. Most valuable of all: if Wigmore isn't the right answer for you, we'll say so in minute five and spend the rest of the call pointing you somewhere useful. Wasting your time would cost us the thing we trade on.

Before the call, our free tools can sharpen your questions: try the import duty calculator or export calculator.

Straight answers

Before you book.

Is it really free — what's the catch?
Really free, and the "catch" is transparent: some percentage of the people we talk to become customers, and that percentage pays for all the calls. You're under no obligation, there's no follow-up pressure campaign, and no payment details are ever requested for a consultation. (Anyone charging a "booking fee" for a Wigmore call is an impersonator — see our Safety Centre.)
Who will I actually speak to?
Someone whose day job is your topic — wholesale questions go to the sales desk, brand distribution to the advisory team, customs and shipping to the logistics side. That's why the booking form asks your topic first: it routes you to the person who can answer in specifics, not generalities.
I'm not in Nigeria — do the time zones work?
Yes. Lagos runs on WAT (one hour ahead of London), and with teams in London and New York we schedule comfortably across Europe, Africa and the Americas — that's what the "Evening — I'm in the US" option is for. Pick your windows and we'll confirm a time in your hours, stated in your time zone so nobody does timezone math at 6am.
What if 15 minutes isn't enough?
Then the last agenda item becomes "book the longer conversation" — with the right people and a proper agenda, sometimes as a paid advisory engagement if the work is substantial. The 15 minutes exists to establish whether that deeper conversation is worth both our whiles. It usually answers more than people expect.
Can I skip the call and just ask my question?
Absolutely — plenty of questions don't need a calendar. Ask on WhatsApp and you'll get an answer in writing; if it turns out to need a call, we'll suggest one. The consultation is for when your situation has moving parts worth talking through live.
The cheapest step you'll take

Fifteen minutes now beats fifteen weeks of guessing.

Pick your topic and time above — or if your question fits in a message, skip the ceremony and just ask.
