Register Online as a Distributor with Wigmore Trading

If you’re looking to become a Knorr distributor in Nigeria, then this guide will show you the step-by-step process. First things first, contact your local Knorr office and request an application form. Once received, fill it out as accurately as possible and submit it immediately with all required documents attached. Then sit back and wait for approval! This is a very straightforward process but different rules apply depending on where the company wants to distribute its products (in Lagos or other regions). If you need any help at all throughout this process please feel free to check out our blog post on how to be a food distributor in Nigeria for more information.

What is a Knorr distributor?

At the moment, Knorr is looking for distributors in the following regions (state capitals only):

Abuja (FCT)

Cantonment Area (Lagos)

Delta (Delta)

Edo (Delta)

Eket (Akwa Ibom)

Enugu (Enugu)

Igbo Etiti (Imo)

Jigawa (Jigawa)

Kaduna (Kaduna)

Lagos (Lagos)

Lagos (Ogun)

Lagos (Osun)

Ondo (Ondo)

Rivers (Rivers)

Sahel Zone (Kwara)

Sokoto (Sokoto)

Zamfara (Zamfara)

As a Knorr distributor, you will be tasked with driving Knorr products (mainly Indomie noodles) into homes. You must have your own car and must not be scared to go into the neighbourhoods or at least as close as possible to Knorr’s offices (and always contact a colleague or call the company for directions, when in doubt you can contact our blog post on how to become a food distributor in Nigeria).

How to become a Knorr distributor in Nigeria
Being an official Knorr distributor in Nigeria takes a little work and this process has several steps to it. The first thing you need to do is visit the distributor’s office in your area and fill out the application form. Once filled in, all required documents are attached and then submitted. The next step is to make sure you are a legal resident of Nigeria. You need to have the original passport of all family members along with an unadjudicated court order showing you’re the legal guardian of the minors, all the way to marriage certificates if applicable. Of course you will also need to submit tax returns for the past two years (for real estate and domestic). If you are interested, you can use the contact details below.

The application process
An applicant can apply in different ways, including:

Email: this method is one of the easiest ways of getting an application form, and there’s nothing wrong with sending it in by email. It’ll cost you N3000, but it only takes a couple of minutes.

Telephone: this method of application is a little more complex, because in Nigeria, people speak a bit slower than the rest of the world. It can take several minutes for an applicant to find the answers to the questions they ask.

The approval process

Once you have completed and submitted the application form, you will be contacted by the local office of Knorr, who will ask you to provide further information about your company and your financial stability to become a distributor.

Not long after, you will receive a letter or email telling you that you have been selected to become a Knorr distributor. Congratulations!

How to be a Knorr Distributor in Lagos or other regions

If you have been successful in being a Knorr distributor in Lagos or any other region, you will need to become an authorized distributor within your area of operation. This means that you will need to have the necessary certifications and licenses for your area of operation. You will also need to have the money to buy the required products.

Distributing products in Lagos or other regions
1. First you have to meet with an agent at your local Knorr office. You will then go through an interview and be put through a series of questions. These can be quite tricky because you can’t mention anything about the product directly or use any stock phrases like, “I will bring back fresh mushrooms for your clients.”

The agent will ask you the following questions:

Will you be able to use social media to sell Knorr products?

What type of Knorr product do you prefer to buy?

What would you consider the easiest product to sell?

What is the price range you can sell in per unit?

After the interview, the agent will send you back to your home state or region to get your local agents to fill out the required forms for you.
