The successful candidate will help produce insightful content on finance, commodities, trade, and business developments, with a focus on Ghana, Africa, and global markets.

Role Overview

The Financial Journalist & Vlogger will produce high-quality written and video content covering economic trends, markets, entrepreneurship, and international trade. This role combines journalism, digital media, and financial analysis.

The candidate should be comfortable writing articles, presenting on camera, hosting podcasts, and contributing to Wigmore Trading’s growing digital media platforms.

We are seeking an intellectually curious individual with a strong enthusiasm for finance, economics, business strategy, and global trade.

Key Responsibilities

• Write insightful articles and commentary on finance, business, commodities, and markets

• Produce engaging video content and vlogs explaining financial and economic trends

• Host or co-host podcasts, interviews, and panel discussions

• Analyse business developments affecting Ghana, Africa, and global markets

• Conduct interviews with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts

• Create content for Wigmore Trading’s website, YouTube channel, social media platforms, and newsletters

• Develop thought leadership content positioning Wigmore Trading as a trusted voice in business and trade

• Assist with media promotions, webinars, and digital events

• Maintain strong editorial standards and accuracy in financial reporting

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate with a strong academic and intellectual interest in finance, economics, and business.

Candidates should ideally have:

• A degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Journalism, or a related discipline

• Demonstrated interest in financial journalism, business commentary, or economic analysis

• Excellent writing and communication skills

• Confidence appearing on camera and hosting discussions or podcasts

• A strong curiosity about markets, investment, trade, and economic policy

• The ability to explain complex financial topics clearly and engagingly

Candidates may have studied at leading institutions such as:

• University of Ghana (Legon)

• Ashesi University

• Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)

• Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA)
