As part of our expansion strategy, Wigmore Trading is launching a water and sanitation services platform focused on improving access to clean water and reliable sanitation services in urban and peri-urban communities.
We are seeking an experienced professional to build and scale this water services business unit.
Role Summary
The Head of Water & Sanitation Services will lead Wigmore Trading’s PAYGo water, borehole maintenance, and sanitation service operations.
The role focuses on developing water access solutions, building maintenance service networks, and implementing scalable community-based water service models.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development

Develop the strategy for Wigmore Trading’s water access and sanitation services platform.

Identify opportunities for PAYGo water kiosks, filtration systems, and sanitation solutions.

Build partnerships with communities, landlords, and institutions such as schools and clinics.
Service Operations

Establish maintenance networks for boreholes, water points, and filtration systems.

Implement systems for service reliability, preventative maintenance, and customer support.

Develop sanitation solutions including toilet franchising and scheduled waste removal services.
Technology & Payments

Implement mobile payment systems for water services and subscriptions.

Introduce monitoring tools for equipment usage and service reliability.
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Resources Management, or related field.
Experience
-
7+ years of experience in water services, infrastructure projects, environmental services, or community utilities.

Experience managing service networks or infrastructure maintenance operations.
Skills
-
Strong operational management capability.

Experience working with community infrastructure projects.
-
Ability to build partnerships with public and private stakeholders.
