Role Overview
African Land is seeking a knowledgeable and client-oriented Property Advisor to join its Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted consultant to clients—helping them evaluate, acquire, sell, or lease real estate in South Africa and across the continent. This role is ideal for someone with deep market insight, strong analytical skills, and a passion for delivering value to sophisticated clients.
Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on investment, acquisition, sale, or leasing strategies for residential, commercial, and land assets.

Conduct market research and comparative analysis to inform pricing, returns, and risk.

Source and qualify leads through networks, referrals, and marketing campaigns.

Lead client meetings, property valuations, proposals, and negotiations.

Facilitate due diligence, coordinate with legal/transaction teams, and manage closing processes.

Maintain and update CRM records and activity pipelines.

Partner with marketing and operations teams to generate property visibility and lead flow.

Represent African Land in property industry events, forums, and investor engagements.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.

Professional certifications such as SAAPI (South African Property Institute), RICS, or CCIM are advantageous.

University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) – Real Estate, Commerce, or Urban Studies

Comparable institutions across Africa (e.g. University of Lagos, University of Nairobi) reflect the standard of academic rigor sought.

Skills & Experience

4–6 years experience in property advisory, brokerage, investment sales, or leasing.

Proven track record of advising high-value clients and closing deals.

Strong financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis skills.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.

Fluency in English; knowledge of local South African languages is beneficial.

Familiarity with Johannesburg and broader South African property markets, legalities, and land use regulations.

Proficiency in CRM systems, analytics tools, and marketing platforms.
