Job Description:
African Land is seeking a skilled and analytical Property Analyst to join our team in Nigeria. This role is essential to supporting our property investment and development strategies by providing in-depth market research, financial analysis, and property evaluations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate, finance, or data analysis and possess excellent critical thinking and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct detailed research on the Nigerian property market, including pricing trends, demand-supply dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
    • Evaluate regional and local market conditions to identify risks and opportunities for property investment.
  2. Property Evaluation:
    • Assess properties for acquisition, development, or investment potential.
    • Perform on-site evaluations and gather data for accurate analysis and reporting.
  3. Financial Analysis:
    • Develop and utilize financial models to evaluate property performance, profitability, and ROI.
    • Provide recommendations for property investments based on detailed cost-benefit analysis.
  4. Regulatory and Risk Assessment:
    • Stay updated on property laws and regulations in Nigeria and assess their impact on potential projects.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with property acquisitions and developments.
  5. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing analysis, insights, and recommendations for stakeholders.
    • Maintain a comprehensive and organized database of all property-related data and research.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work with internal teams, including construction, sales, and management, to align property decisions with overall business objectives.
    • Clearly communicate findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property analysis, real estate, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian property market, including valuation techniques and investment strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools, such as Excel, Power BI, or similar software.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting data-driven insights.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian property regulations and market dynamics is essential.
