About the Role
African Land is seeking skilled and reliable Property Maintenance Technicians to handle repair, upkeep, and technical maintenance tasks across our residential and commercial buildings in Accra. This role is critical to maintaining building integrity, safety, and tenant satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems, and will be comfortable performing both reactive and preventive maintenance duties in a fast-paced property services environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

Respond to tenant service requests and resolve building-related issues promptly.

Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.

Install, repair, or replace fixtures, locks, doors, and appliances as needed.

Maintain tools, equipment, and service logs in good working condition.

Assist in planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules for building systems.

Ensure compliance with Ghana’s building codes, health, and safety regulations.

Provide support during renovation or construction projects, including material sourcing and basic labor.

Report structural damage, security risks, or system failures to the Facilities Manager.
Qualifications

Technical certification or diploma in Building Maintenance, Electrical Installation, Plumbing, or a related field.

Trade licenses or vocational training certificates are an added advantage.
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in residential or commercial property settings.

Proven experience in troubleshooting electrical and plumbing systems.

Knowledge of basic carpentry, painting, and tiling is an asset.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Familiarity with safety procedures and emergency protocols.
