About the Role
African Land is hiring vigilant and disciplined Property Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of residents, staff, and assets across our managed residential and commercial properties in Accra. This role requires a strong presence, quick decision-making, and adherence to company and national security protocols.
As part of our property operations team, you will monitor access, enforce rules, respond to emergencies, and provide frontline support for creating a secure and welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification, and control access to premises.

Conduct routine patrols of the property, including perimeters, lobbies, stairwells, parking areas, and restricted zones.

Report suspicious activity, security breaches, or hazards promptly to supervisors or law enforcement.

Enforce building rules and assist with conflict de-escalation when necessary.

Operate security systems including CCTV surveillance, alarms, and access control panels.

Respond to emergencies including fire, theft, or medical incidents in accordance with established protocols.

Maintain accurate logs of incidents, visitor activity, shift reports, and handovers.

Assist with evacuation procedures, drills, and emergency preparedness planning.

Provide customer service support to residents and guests while maintaining a professional presence.
Qualifications

Secondary school certificate or higher.

Formal security training or licensing from an accredited body in Ghana is required.

Military or paramilitary background is an added advantage.
Experience
-
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in security roles, preferably in residential estates, commercial complexes, or corporate offices.

Familiarity with basic security technology and emergency response procedures.
Skills & Competencies

High alertness, integrity, and reliability.

Strong communication and observation skills.

Ability to work under pressure and remain calm during emergencies.

Basic report-writing skills and attention to detail.

Physically fit and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
