About the Role

African Land is seeking a dynamic and reliable Short-Term Rental Property Manager to oversee our growing portfolio of furnished apartments and short-term rentals in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring properties are well-maintained, guests receive exceptional service, and occupancy rates grow steadily.

This role is ideal for someone honest, hardworking, trustworthy, and full of energy, who has a strong drive to grow the business and deliver world-class property management services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of multiple short-term rental properties in Nairobi.

• Oversee guest check-ins, check-outs, and provide excellent customer service.

• Handle guest communication before, during, and after stays in a timely, professional manner.

• Coordinate housekeeping, maintenance, and repairs to ensure properties remain in top condition.

• Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy rates and rental income.

• Monitor and manage booking platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.).

• Ensure compliance with local property, tax, and safety regulations.

• Keep accurate records of expenses, payments, and property performance.

• Report regularly to management with updates on performance and opportunities for growth.

• Assist with marketing, pricing strategies, and property listings to attract high-quality guests.

Requirements

• Proven experience in property management, hospitality, or customer service.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness.

• Energetic, self-driven, and motivated to grow the business.

• Ability to handle pressure and resolve conflicts quickly.

• Basic financial and administrative skills (invoicing, expense tracking, etc.).

• Familiarity with property booking platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, etc.).

• Knowledge of Nairobi’s real estate and hospitality market is a plus.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when required.
