As we expand, we seek a skilled Tender Writer to support our efforts in securing contracts and tenders worldwide, particularly in the UK and Nigeria.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tender Writer to research, write, and submit competitive bids and proposals on behalf of Wigmore Trading and its associated companies. The ideal candidate will have experience in bid writing, excellent research skills, and a strong understanding of procurement processes in the UK and Nigeria. This is a remote role with flexible working hours, offering an opportunity to work with a dynamic, fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research tender opportunities worldwide, with a focus on the UK and Nigerian markets.
  • Prepare, write, and submit high-quality, compelling tenders, proposals, and bids in line with procurement requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather the necessary information for tenders, including pricing, compliance, and technical details.
  • Ensure all submissions meet deadlines and adhere to the specific requirements of each tender.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor positioning, and client requirements.
  • Maintain a database of past and current bids, ensuring continuous improvement in submission strategies.
  • Proofread and edit bid documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with procurement officers and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in writing and submitting successful tenders, bids, and proposals.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes in the UK and Nigeria.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to tailor content to different industries and audiences.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills to understand contract requirements and industry standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
  • Experience working remotely with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of trade, logistics, and procurement industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with government and private sector bidding portals.
