Role Overview

Wigmore Trading is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Lusaka and across Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing client relationships, identifying trade opportunities, and achieving strong sales growth within FMCG, industrial, and commodity sectors.

This is a commission-based role ideal for a motivated sales professional with solid negotiation skills, local market knowledge, and a passion for trade and business development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and retailers across Zambia.

  • Promote Wigmore Trading’s range of FMCG, industrial, and commodity products.

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms in coordination with the Lagos head office.

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, competition, and customer needs.

  • Manage client communications, quotations, and follow-up activities.

  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and client satisfaction.

  • Represent Wigmore Trading at business forums, trade fairs, and industry networking events.

  • Provide regular performance reports and market insights to management.


Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, trading, or business development.

  • Proven track record in FMCG, import/export, or B2B distribution.

  • Existing business network within Zambia’s trade or retail sectors is advantageous.


Skills & Experience

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and client management skills.

  • Strong understanding of Zambia’s trade and logistics landscape.

  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Bemba or Nyanja is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

  • Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple clients independently.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
