How to find the right address for your business

The first step in the registration process is finding the right address for your business. You’ll need to find a place where your company will be operating, this could be an office space or a warehouse space. Be sure that your chosen location is not currently occupied by any other company and that it has electricity and running water (if applicable). If you are unsure whether or not your chosen location meets all of these requirements, ask a local business owner.

Once you have found the right address for your company, the second step in the process is filling out the company registration form online. To do so, go to www.nigeriancompanyregistration.com/e-forms/. You can fill out this form from home or from work as it is not mandatory to physically visit one of the government offices listed on their website. Once you submit this form with all required documentation, it will take about five working days before you receive confirmation of registration via email from Nigerian Company Registration Services Limited (NCCSL).

The final step in the process is visiting one of the corporate registry offices or registering online at http://www.nigeriancompaniesregistry.org/. This is a two-step process which involves paying a fee and providing additional documentation like a copy of your company’s constitution or articles of association and certificate of incorporation certificates.

How to select an appropriate name for your business

When you register your company, the first thing to do is select an appropriate name for your business.

This is important because if your company name sounds too similar to another company’s name, it can be difficult for small businesses to compete with larger companies. For example, if you were starting a law firm in Nigeria, it would be best to choose a different name like “Law Firm.” You could also choose something short and simple like “Law Firm,” or you could even call your practice a “Legal Advice.”

What is a TIN?

A TIN is a tax identification number issued by the country where you are based. It is an identifier that allows you to both register your company and be taxed in that country.
