Role Overview
Wigmore Trading is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Bamako and throughout Mali. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving sales in the FMCG, industrial, and commodity sectors.
This is a commission-based position suited to a self-motivated professional with a strong understanding of Mali’s commercial landscape and a passion for sales, trade, and business development.
Key Responsibilities

Identify, contact, and onboard new distributors, wholesalers, and clients across Mali.

Promote Wigmore Trading’s range of FMCG, industrial, and commodity products.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms in collaboration with Wigmore’s head office.

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
-
Manage client communications, prepare quotations, and oversee deal closures.
-
Work with logistics teams to coordinate order fulfillment and ensure client satisfaction.

Represent Wigmore Trading at trade fairs, exhibitions, and business networking events.

Provide regular sales reports and market insights to management.
Qualifications & Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or trading.

Experience in FMCG, import/export, or B2B distribution is highly desirable.

Established business network within Mali’s retail, wholesale, or industrial sectors is advantageous.
Skills & Experience

Excellent sales, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.

Fluency in French required; proficiency in Bambara and English is an asset.

Strong understanding of Mali’s trade, logistics, and business environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage clients independently.

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
