Role Overview

Wigmore Trading is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Dar es Salaam and across Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, managing client relationships, and closing deals in FMCG, industrial, and commodity sectors.

This role is ideal for a performance-driven professional with strong communication skills, local market knowledge, and a passion for business development and international trade.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and corporate clients across Tanzania.

  • Promote Wigmore Trading’s portfolio of FMCG, industrial, and commodity products.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and payment agreements in collaboration with the Lagos head office.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and potential partnerships.

  • Manage client communications, quotations, and after-sales follow-ups.

  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

  • Represent Wigmore Trading at business events, trade exhibitions, and industry gatherings.

  • Prepare sales performance reports and provide market insights to management.


Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or trading.

  • Prior experience in FMCG, import/export, or B2B distribution is an advantage.

  • Existing business network within Tanzania’s retail or wholesale sectors desirable.


Skills & Experience

  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and networking skills.

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong understanding of Tanzania’s trade and logistics environment.

  • Fluency in English and Swahili required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple clients independently.
