Role Overview

We are looking for a certified and experienced Emergency Locksmith & Safe Access Technician to support our operations in Lagos on a freelance basis. The successful candidate will respond to urgent lockout scenarios, offer on-demand security support, and legally assist with safe and vault access recovery when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency locksmith services 24/7, including residential, commercial, and vehicle lockouts.

• Gain access to properties or secured assets using non-destructive techniques wherever possible.

• Open locked or malfunctioning safes, vaults, and digital access systems with proper client authorization.

• Install, repair, and upgrade locks, safes, and door mechanisms to maintain security integrity.

• Conduct routine security audits and make recommendations for improved lock systems or access control.

• Maintain a log of all interventions, equipment used, and follow safety/security protocols.

• Liaise with African Land’s Lagos property management and tenant teams to ensure fast, professional responses.

Requirements

• At least 3 years’ proven experience as a locksmith, with emphasis on emergency and safe entry work.

• Professional certification and licensing in locksmithing or related technical fields (where applicable).

• Skilled in opening mechanical and electronic locks, rekeying, and installing various lock types.

• Equipped with professional-grade tools for lock picking, decoding, and safe manipulation.

• Strong understanding of local security codes and ethical practices in Nigeria.

• Must have a clean criminal record, high discretion, and excellent client service skills.

• Own transportation and availability for rapid deployment across Lagos.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with high-security safes, digital vaults, keypad or biometric access systems.

• Experience working with real estate companies, security firms, or emergency services.

• Additional training in burglary-resistant hardware or surveillance integration is a plus.
