As part of our expansion strategy, Wigmore Trading is launching a last-mile logistics and SME fulfilment platform designed to support e-commerce merchants, pharmacies, retailers, and small businesses with reliable delivery and fulfilment services.

We are seeking an experienced logistics professional to lead the development and scaling of this delivery and fulfilment business unit.

Role Summary

The Head of Logistics & Fulfilment will lead the development of Wigmore Trading’s last-mile delivery network, fulfilment operations, and pickup/drop-off infrastructure.

The role focuses on building delivery capacity, developing merchant logistics services, managing riders and logistics partners, and ensuring reliable delivery operations for SMEs and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Develop and implement the strategy for Wigmore Trading’s last-mile delivery and SME fulfilment services.

• Identify and onboard merchants requiring logistics solutions including e-commerce sellers, pharmacies, retailers, and corporate clients.

• Develop service packages including parcel delivery, fulfilment storage, and scheduled delivery routes.

Logistics & Network Operations

• Build a network of pickup and drop-off points across Lagos.

• Manage delivery fleets including dispatch riders, vehicles, and logistics partners.

• Optimize delivery routes and scheduling to maximize rider utilization and service reliability.

Merchant Fulfilment Services

• Establish fulfilment hubs offering inventory storage, order picking, and delivery dispatch.

• Implement systems for cash-on-delivery (COD), returns processing, and merchant reconciliation.

• Develop subscription packages for merchants with predictable delivery volumes.

Technology & Operations

• Implement digital tools for order tracking, dispatch management, and customer notifications.

• Ensure operational processes that reduce theft, delivery delays, and service failures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in logistics, courier services, delivery operations, or supply chain management.

• Experience managing last-mile delivery networks or e-commerce logistics operations.

• Proven ability to build operational systems and delivery teams.

Skills

• Strong logistics and route optimization capability.

• Experience managing dispatch riders and fleet operations.

• Strong operational management and problem-solving skills.
