The goal is to support hospitals, clinics, and healthcare programs by providing affordable diagnostic equipment, point-of-care testing solutions, and modern laboratory infrastructure.
Role Summary
The Head of Medical Devices & Diagnostic Services will lead the development and growth of Wigmore Trading’s healthcare equipment and diagnostics platform.
The role focuses on deploying medical devices, building diagnostic service networks, and enabling healthcare providers to access modern diagnostic tools through flexible financing and service models.
This position requires a professional with strong experience in medical equipment distribution, healthcare diagnostics, biomedical engineering, or healthcare infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Strategy Development

Develop the strategy for Wigmore Trading’s medical devices and diagnostics platform.

Identify opportunities to deploy point-of-care diagnostic devices, laboratory equipment, and telemedicine diagnostic tools.

Design scalable models including device leasing, equipment sales, and diagnostic service partnerships.
Medical Equipment Deployment

Lead the deployment of diagnostic equipment such as laboratory analyzers, imaging devices, and portable testing tools.

Implement solutions for point-of-care testing in clinics, mobile healthcare units, and community health programs.

Ensure reliable device performance through maintenance and calibration programs.
Healthcare Partnerships

Build partnerships with hospitals, diagnostic labs, clinics, NGOs, and government health programs.

Work with healthcare providers to expand access to diagnostic services in underserved areas.

Support public health initiatives through equipment deployment and service partnerships.
Diagnostic Services & Operations

Develop models for diagnostic service delivery including franchise laboratories and mobile diagnostic units.

Implement systems for equipment management, test result tracking, and service quality monitoring.

Ensure high standards of healthcare service delivery and patient safety.
Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure medical equipment and diagnostic services comply with healthcare regulations and medical device standards.

Maintain quality control systems for diagnostics equipment and laboratory services.

Implement protocols for device maintenance, calibration, and safe operation.
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Experience
-
7–10 years of experience in medical equipment distribution, healthcare diagnostics, biomedical engineering, or healthcare infrastructure projects.

Experience working with hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, or healthcare equipment providers.

Experience managing healthcare technology or diagnostic service platforms.
Skills

Strong understanding of medical diagnostic equipment and healthcare systems.

Experience managing healthcare infrastructure projects and equipment deployment.

Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability.

Ability to build partnerships across healthcare institutions and public health organizations.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with medical device manufacturers, diagnostic laboratories, or healthcare technology providers.

Familiarity with healthcare quality standards and diagnostic service regulations.
