As our portfolio expands, we are seeking a Property Accountant to manage financial records related to property transactions, rental income, and real estate investments in Ghana.
Role Overview
The Property Accountant will oversee financial activities related to property acquisitions, land transactions, rental income, and property-related expenses. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting, proper record keeping, and compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.
This position is ideal for an accountant with experience in real estate, property management, or investment accounting who wants to work in a fast-growing property company.
Key Responsibilities
Property Financial Management

Maintain accurate financial records for property acquisitions, land purchases, and development projects.

Record and track rental income, service charges, and property-related expenses.

Monitor property budgets and provide financial reports on property performance.
Accounting & Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to property operations.

Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accurate tracking of property-related transactions.

Maintain general ledger entries related to property assets and investments.

Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Banking & Payment Administration

Coordinate property-related payments including vendor invoices, contractor payments, and utilities.

Liaise with banks regarding property transactions, transfers, and financial documentation.

Monitor incoming payments from tenants, buyers, or investors.
Compliance & Record Management

Ensure compliance with Ghanaian tax and financial regulations related to property transactions.

Maintain organized records of contracts, invoices, payment schedules, and financial documentation.

Support external auditors and tax consultants when required.
Financial Analysis

Provide financial insights on property investments, project costs, and profitability.

Assist management with budget planning and cost control for property developments.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICA, CIMA, or part qualification preferred.

Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in real estate, property management, or construction.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, bookkeeping, and bank reconciliation.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience handling property portfolios, rental accounts, or real estate investments.

Knowledge of Ghanaian tax regulations related to property and business transactions.

Strong analytical and financial management skills.
