Role Overview
African Land is seeking a professional and results-oriented Property Consultant to join its Ekurhuleni team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property sales and leasing transactions, advising clients on investments, and representing the company across Gauteng’s vibrant property market.
This role is ideal for a motivated consultant with a strong network in the East Rand, excellent communication skills, and a track record of success in South African real estate.
Key Responsibilities

Source, market, and sell residential, commercial, and industrial properties within Ekurhuleni and surrounding areas.

Advise clients on property acquisition, leasing, and investment opportunities.

Conduct comparative market analyses to determine competitive pricing and returns.

Prepare property proposals, conduct viewings, and negotiate sales and lease terms.

Build and maintain long-term client relationships with landlords, tenants, and investors.

Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance property visibility and lead generation.

Manage CRM data, sales reports, and client communications.
-
Represent African Land at property expos, networking events, and industry forums.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Registration with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) or eligibility for registration is required.

Benchmark universities for candidate caliber:

University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) – Real Estate, Urban Studies, or Commerce

University of Johannesburg – Business Management or Property Studies

University of Pretoria – Construction Economics or Real Estate

University of Cape Town (UCT) – Property Studies or Finance

Comparable African institutions such as the University of Nairobi or University of Lagos reflect the desired academic standard.

Skills & Experience

3–6 years of experience in property sales, leasing, or consultancy.

Strong understanding of South African property markets, particularly in Gauteng.

Proven record of closing deals and achieving sales targets.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Proficiency in English; Afrikaans or isiZulu is advantageous.

Strong computer literacy, including CRM platforms and digital marketing tools.
