Role Overview
African Land is seeking a professional and highly organized Property Manager to oversee its portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties in Algiers. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day management, tenant relations, maintenance oversight, and operational performance, ensuring that all assets operate efficiently and profitably.
This role requires a hands-on manager with deep knowledge of Algeria’s real estate sector, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead property operations in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations across multiple properties, ensuring optimal tenant satisfaction and occupancy.

Handle lease administration, rent collection, renewals, and compliance documentation.

Oversee maintenance, repairs, and service provider contracts to maintain building standards.

Develop and manage annual operating budgets, control expenses, and prepare financial reports.

Conduct regular property inspections and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

Support leasing activities, marketing vacant units, and assisting with tenant screening.

Liaise with landlords, tenants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Prepare management reports for senior leadership on asset performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Professional certification such as RICS, IFMA, or a recognized property management qualification is advantageous.

Comparable regional institutions such as the University of Cape Town, University of Lagos, or American University in Cairo reflect the desired standard.

Skills & Experience

5–7 years of experience in property, asset, or facilities management.

Strong understanding of Algerian property laws, leasing regulations, and maintenance standards.

Proven ability to manage budgets, service contracts, and multi-tenant environments.

Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Fluency in French and Arabic required; English proficiency is an asset.

Proficiency in property management systems (PMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and financial reporting tools.

Strong organizational skills and a high degree of professionalism.
