Role Overview
African Land is seeking a knowledgeable and client-driven Real Estate Consultant to join its Nairobi team. The successful candidate will manage sales and advisory functions across Kenya’s residential and commercial real estate markets, building strong relationships with property owners, developers, and investors.
This role is ideal for a confident communicator and strategic thinker with experience in real estate sales, investment advisory, or property marketing who can represent African Land’s premium brand in Kenya’s competitive property landscape.
Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on the purchase, sale, or leasing of residential, commercial, and investment properties.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the Nairobi and regional markets.

Conduct market research, prepare investment proposals, and perform comparative analyses.

Negotiate terms, prepare offers, and facilitate closing of property transactions.

Collaborate with marketing teams to design effective promotional campaigns and digital listings.
-
Maintain CRM databases, ensure accurate property information, and track client interactions.
-
Represent African Land at property expos, networking events, and investment forums.
-
Deliver excellent client service to enhance repeat and referral business.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.

Professional membership or certification (e.g., EARB, RICS, or FIABCI) is an advantage.

Benchmark universities for candidate caliber:

University of Nairobi – Real Estate, Land Economics, or Business Studies

Kenyatta University – Commerce or Economics

Strathmore University – Business, Finance, or Marketing

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) – Construction Management or Architecture

Regional equivalents such as the University of Lagos, University of Cape Town, or the American University in Cairo are indicative of the desired academic quality.

Skills & Experience

3–5 years of experience in real estate consultancy, brokerage, or investment advisory.

Proven ability to generate leads, close transactions, and meet sales targets.

Strong knowledge of Kenyan property laws, valuation practices, and market trends.

Excellent negotiation, presentation, and client relationship management skills.

Proficient in CRM systems and online property listing platforms.

Fluency in English and Kiswahili; additional languages are an asset.
