Role Overview

Wigmore Trading is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Abuja and surrounding regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing client relationships, promoting Wigmore’s product portfolio, and closing sales opportunities across key sectors.

This is a commission-based position ideal for a motivated professional with strong sales acumen, local market knowledge, and a passion for international trade and distribution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage client relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers across Abuja and Northern Nigeria.

  • Promote Wigmore Trading’s range of FMCG, industrial, and commodity products.

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate local markets.

  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms in coordination with Wigmore’s head office.

  • Manage client communication, order follow-ups, and after-sales support.

  • Conduct market analysis to monitor trends, pricing, and competitor activity.

  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery.

  • Represent Wigmore Trading at trade fairs, networking events, and exhibitions.


Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or trading.

  • Experience in FMCG, import/export, or distribution is highly desirable.

  • Established client relationships in Abuja or Northern Nigeria are an advantage.


Skills & Experience

  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and networking skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.

  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Hausa is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

  • Knowledge of Nigeria’s trade and logistics environment.

  • Highly organized, professional, and able to manage clients independently.
