As part of our expansion strategy, Wigmore Trading is launching a telecommunications infrastructure development platform focused on expanding tower networks, fiber connectivity, and next-generation wireless infrastructure.

The goal is to improve connectivity coverage, support broadband expansion, and enable faster, more reliable telecommunications services for businesses and communities.


Role Summary

The Head of Telecom Infrastructure Development will lead the development and growth of Wigmore Trading’s telecommunications infrastructure platform, including telecom towers, fiber networks, and small-cell deployments.

The role focuses on developing large-scale infrastructure projects that expand network coverage and support growing demand for broadband and mobile connectivity.

This position requires a professional with strong experience in telecommunications infrastructure, network deployment, fiber networks, or tower infrastructure development.


Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy & Development

  • Develop the strategy for Wigmore Trading’s telecom infrastructure platform, including tower networks, fiber rollout, and small-cell deployments.

  • Identify high-impact locations for infrastructure development that improve network coverage and capacity.

  • Design scalable infrastructure models that support telecom operators and internet service providers.

Telecom Infrastructure Deployment

  • Lead deployment of telecom towers, fiber optic networks, and wireless infrastructure systems.

  • Manage projects including site acquisition, infrastructure construction, and network integration.

  • Ensure infrastructure meets industry standards for reliability, safety, and network performance.

Partnerships & Industry Engagement

  • Build partnerships with mobile network operators, tower companies, internet service providers, and municipal authorities.

  • Collaborate with telecom infrastructure investors and development partners.

  • Support public-private partnerships that expand rural connectivity.

Business Development

  • Develop commercial models including tower leasing, fiber infrastructure leasing, and network infrastructure services.

  • Identify opportunities to provide infrastructure services to telecom operators, ISPs, and enterprise networks.

  • Expand adoption of infrastructure solutions across Nigeria’s telecommunications sector.

Operations & Platform Management

  • Build and manage teams covering engineering, infrastructure deployment, and project management.

  • Implement systems for monitoring infrastructure performance and maintenance.

  • Ensure strong operational processes for infrastructure management and service delivery.


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 8–10 years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure development, fiber networks, tower infrastructure, or telecom project management.

  • Experience working with mobile network operators, tower companies, or telecom infrastructure providers.

  • Experience deploying large-scale telecom infrastructure projects.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure design and deployment.

  • Experience managing infrastructure construction and engineering projects.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability.

  • Ability to build partnerships with telecom operators and infrastructure investors.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with telecom tower companies, infrastructure providers, or broadband rollout projects.

  • Familiarity with telecommunications regulations and infrastructure standards.

  • Experience developing telecom infrastructure platforms or large-scale connectivity projects.
