A security surveillance drone in Nigeria should support a clearly authorised task: observing an estate perimeter, documenting an industrial incident or helping a responsible team understand a situation. Wigmore Trading is an authorised DJI dealer and can discuss visible-camera and thermal equipment packages for legitimate organisational requirements.
The best DJI drone for a security company depends on the site, reporting needs and operating team. More zoom or a larger aircraft does not by itself create an effective monitoring service. Define who is responsible for operating the system, reviewing observations and responding to an event.
Estate and perimeter monitoring
For estate security, identify the management objective and the area for which permission has been obtained. Consider how aerial observations complement existing guards, access control and fixed cameras. A drone is not a guarantee of continuous coverage or a replacement for an organised response process.
Agree data handling, access to recordings and appropriate retention. Avoid collecting or publishing unrelated personal information. A procurement brief should define authorised monitoring and accountability, rather than imply unrestricted surveillance of neighbours or the public.
Industrial and private-security applications
Industrial users may need incident documentation, asset observations or support during an approved site assessment. Specify the evidence required, reporting format and who will review it. If thermal information is relevant, explain the question it is intended to answer rather than adding a thermal camera solely because it sounds more capable.
For private security companies, compare the equipment alongside operator training, maintenance and client permissions. Ask how a proposed system fits the client’s existing processes. Do not promise automatic threat identification or an incident-free site from drone ownership alone.
Visible camera, thermal sensor or both?
| Requirement | Selection question |
|---|---|
| Visual documentation | What image detail and context must be retained? |
| Thermal observation | Is thermal contrast useful for the authorised task? |
| Low-light work | Which model, conditions and approvals apply? |
| Organisational reporting | Who reviews, stores and acts on the information? |
Thermal imaging and low-light visual imaging are different technologies. Neither provides reliable identification through every obstruction or in every condition. Assess a sample output and the intended environment with competent operators before committing to a package.
Police and public-safety procurement enquiries
Public-agency enquiries should specify the legitimate mission, governance, procurement requirements and responsible operating unit. A civil commercial supply discussion does not establish operational authorisation. Any specialist request should be reviewed against the applicable law, manufacturer terms and organisational procedures.
Use a written specification and acceptance process. Request the exact model, accessories, support terms and training scope. Keep the equipment purchase separate from any assumption about access to restricted airspace or permission to conduct a particular activity.
A realistic security drone budget
Budget for the aircraft and sensor, batteries, charging, transport, data management, training and maintenance. If a project assumes extended or repeated coverage, ask how staffing and equipment availability will support it. Do not calculate coverage from a maximum flight-time figure without accounting for the actual operation.
For several sites, compare a shared mobile team with site-specific equipment. Include travel, downtime and repair logistics in the business case. A smaller number of well-supported systems may be more useful than a broad fleet without trained operators or a reporting process.
What Wigmore Trading needs for a quotation
Provide your organisation, lawful application, site type, location, required outputs, quantities and budget range. State whether the priority is visible imagery, thermal observation or integration into an existing system. Ask for model-specific package contents, availability, training options and warranty route.
We can discuss equipment sourcing and delivery for Nigerian and regional buyers. If you need a managed monitoring service or specialist integration, identify it separately so scope and availability can be confirmed. For emergency response, consult the thermal and rescue guide; for model comparison, review the Matrice 4 and Matrice 400 pages.
A sound security purchase gives the responsible team useful, reviewable information. Build the system around that objective and an accountable operating process, then choose the aircraft and support package that serves it.
Buy through Wigmore Trading, an authorised DJI dealer
Tell our team your application, preferred model, quantities, budget and delivery city. We can discuss a suitable equipment package, current supply options and delivery requirements. Nigerian and international enquiries are welcome; availability, destination acceptance and lead time are confirmed for the order.
Discuss your drone requirement with Wigmore Trading → or email sales@wigmoretrading.com. Ask for an itemised quotation covering the aircraft or component, payload, controller, batteries, charging, software, training options and support route.

Confirm the exact model, condition and supplied items before ordering. Catalogue prices and photographs do not establish the contents of a complete flight-ready kit; Matrice listings labelled “Central Frame” need a written bill of contents.
