Following the resounding success of the Catalan Food Flavour Fest 2024, hosted at the Marriott Hotel Ballroom in Lagos, Wigmore Trading’s Directors, Martin Nwike and Chris Ifeorah, took a moment to reflect on the event and share their inspiring vision for the company’s future.

The Catalan Food Flavour Fest was more than just a night of culinary excellence; it marked a significant step in Wigmore Trading’s ongoing mission to bridge cultural and business exchanges between Nigeria and the global market. The event, which featured Lagos’ top influencers and a masterful showcase of Catalan cuisine, created a buzz that extended far beyond the ballroom.

In a recent interview, Martin and Chris spoke about the impact of the event, particularly how it highlighted the power of international partnerships. “Our goal at Wigmore Trading has always been to connect Nigeria to the world,” Martin explained. “The Catalan Food Fest was a perfect example of what can happen when you bring together the best of two cultures—there’s an exchange of ideas, flavors, and opportunities.”

Expanding Global Trade Opportunities

The Directors emphasized that Wigmore Trading is not just about importing and exporting goods—it’s about fostering relationships that drive sustainable, global growth. They see the company playing a pivotal role in providing international buyers with seamless access to Nigerian products, particularly through Wigmore Wholesale’s online platform.

“Technology is revolutionizing the way we do business,” Chris noted. “Our platform has made it easier for international buyers to connect with Nigerian producers, and that’s something we’re incredibly proud of. We’re just getting started—there’s so much more to come.”

A Commitment to Innovation and Collaboration

Both Martin and Chris are excited about the future of Wigmore Trading and their plans to continue innovating. They revealed that more cultural and business events, similar to the Catalan Food Flavour Fest, are in the pipeline. These events will focus on bringing together stakeholders from various industries to explore opportunities, exchange knowledge, and forge strong, cross-border partnerships.

“We want to keep pushing boundaries,” Martin added. “Whether it’s through expanding our digital platform or hosting more international events, our goal is to create lasting, impactful connections between Nigeria and the rest of the world.”

Looking Ahead

With this clear vision and commitment to innovation, Wigmore Trading is set to become a leading force in global trade, leveraging technology and cultural exchanges to bring Nigerian products to the forefront of international markets.
