We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Network Operations (Fibre) to lead this critical initiative.

Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Network Operations (Fibre) will be responsible for the efficient and reliable operation of Wigmore Trading’s fiber-optic infrastructure. This leadership role involves defining and implementing the company’s strategic vision for fiber operations, ensuring maximum uptime, scalability, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day network performance, lead technical teams, and oversee major fiber roll-out projects across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation and high availability of Wigmore Trading’s fiber-optic infrastructure.

• Define and execute the strategic vision for fiber network operations in alignment with company goals.

• Oversee day-to-day network performance, uptime monitoring, and preventive maintenance.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers and technicians, promoting best practices.

• Manage large-scale fiber roll-out and upgrade projects end-to-end — from planning to delivery.

• Implement operational improvements and enforce compliance with industry standards, safety, and security.

• Manage budgets, mitigate risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

• Drive customer-centric performance, ensuring fiber services support the business’s growth and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• 8–10 years experience in network operations, with a strong background in fiber-optic or transmission networks.

• Demonstrated leadership of technical teams in complex operational environments.

• Expertise in network planning, design, operations, and maintenance.

• Strong strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
