We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Specialist who can independently identify suppliers, establish purchasing relationships, and secure distribution or resale agreements for a wide variety of products.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and sourcing suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors based on product briefs provided by the company. The role requires strong initiative, research ability, and persistence to identify the right companies and build commercial relationships.

The position involves researching markets, identifying key decision-makers within organisations, and negotiating supply or distribution arrangements that allow Wigmore Trading to buy, distribute, or resell products.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors for a wide range of products including agricultural commodities, FMCG products, industrial goods, and raw materials.

• Contact companies and identify the appropriate decision-makers responsible for partnerships, procurement, or distribution.

• Establish purchasing relationships and secure agreements that allow Wigmore Trading to act as a buyer, reseller, or distributor.

• Register Wigmore Trading as a distributor or authorised seller where applicable.

• Conduct outreach through LinkedIn, industry platforms, business directories, and direct communication.

• Arrange meetings with potential suppliers, both online and in person where necessary.

• Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, supply conditions, and distribution agreements.

• Maintain organised records of suppliers and sourcing opportunities.

Requirements

• Strong research and sourcing skills

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Confidence contacting companies and engaging with decision-makers

• Strong networking and relationship-building ability

• Experience in procurement, sourcing, trading, or supply chain roles is an advantage
