Role Overview
Wigmore Trading is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Abidjan and throughout Côte d’Ivoire. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business relationships, managing key clients, and driving sales growth across FMCG, industrial, and commodity sectors.
This is a commission-based position, ideal for a motivated sales professional who excels in networking, negotiation, and client engagement within Francophone West Africa.
Key Responsibilities

Identify, contact, and onboard new clients, distributors, and wholesalers across Côte d’Ivoire.

Promote Wigmore Trading’s product portfolio and build a strong local customer base.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in coordination with Wigmore’s head office.

Conduct market analysis to identify new sales opportunities and competitive trends.

Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to deal closure.

Liaise with logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and client satisfaction.

Represent Wigmore Trading at trade shows, business forums, and industry events.

Prepare regular reports on client activity, performance, and market developments.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

3–5 years of experience in sales, trading, or business development.

Proven track record in FMCG, import/export, or B2B distribution.

Existing business connections within Côte d’Ivoire’s wholesale and retail sectors are an advantage.
Skills & Experience

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Fluency in French is essential; English proficiency is an advantage.

Deep understanding of Côte d’Ivoire’s trading environment and supply chain systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
