Role Overview
Wigmore Trading is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Kampala and across Uganda. The successful candidate will identify business opportunities, acquire new clients, and facilitate the sale of Wigmore’s diverse product portfolio.
This role is ideal for an ambitious, self-motivated professional who thrives in performance-based environments and is eager to grow their income potential through international trade.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers across Uganda.

Promote and sell Wigmore Trading’s FMCG, industrial, and commodity product lines.

Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate new markets.

Negotiate pricing, quantities, and payment terms in collaboration with head office.

Manage client communications, quotations, and post-sale follow-ups.

Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and order accuracy.

Conduct market research and prepare reports on competitor activities and consumer trends.

Represent Wigmore Trading at trade shows, exhibitions, and business networking events.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or trading.
-
Experience in FMCG, import/export, or B2B sales is an advantage.

Established network within Uganda’s retail, wholesale, or manufacturing sectors is a plus.
Skills & Experience

Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

Strong negotiation, networking, and closing skills.
-
Excellent communication in English and Luganda (additional languages are a plus).

Understanding of trade processes, supply chains, and documentation.

Self-disciplined, organized, and able to work independently.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and online business tools.
