Role Overview

Wigmore Trading is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Conakry and throughout Guinea. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving sales performance in FMCG, industrial, and commodity sectors.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated, results-oriented sales professional who thrives in performance-based environments and has a deep understanding of Guinea’s commercial landscape.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with new distributors, wholesalers, and corporate clients across Guinea.

  • Promote Wigmore Trading’s product portfolio across FMCG, industrial, and commodity lines.

  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms in collaboration with the Lagos head office.

  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, trends, and competitor activities.

  • Manage client communications, quotations, and after-sales follow-ups.

  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and delivery.

  • Represent Wigmore Trading at trade exhibitions, business forums, and networking events.

  • Prepare reports and provide feedback on sales performance and market developments.


Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, trading, or business development.

  • Experience in FMCG, import/export, or B2B distribution is highly desirable.

  • Established network within Guinea’s wholesale, retail, or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.


Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong understanding of Guinea’s trade and logistics environment.

  • Fluency in French required; English proficiency is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

  • Organized, reliable, and capable of managing multiple client accounts.

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
