Role Overview
Wigmore Trading is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to expand its operations in Kinshasa and across the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying clients, closing sales, and driving growth within the FMCG and commodities sectors, earning commission-based income tied to performance.
This role suits a highly motivated, independent sales professional passionate about international trade, business development, and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow Wigmore Trading’s client base across Kinshasa and key Congolese markets.

Identify and engage with wholesalers, distributors, and corporate clients.

Promote the company’s range of FMCG, industrial goods, and commodities.

Negotiate prices, quantities, and terms with clients in coordination with head office.

Manage order processing, client communication, and delivery coordination.

Conduct regular market research to identify new business opportunities.
-
Represent Wigmore Trading at trade events, business forums, and exhibitions.

Maintain accurate sales records and report monthly performance metrics.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

Relevant experience in FMCG, import/export, or B2B trading.

Knowledge of local distribution networks and retail supply chains in the DRC.

Established relationships with wholesalers or distributors are highly desirable.
Skills & Experience

3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or trading.

Strong communication and negotiation skills in French and English (Lingala or Swahili is an asset).

Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets in a commission-only structure.

Solid understanding of international trade, logistics, and customs documentation.

Organized, professional, and capable of managing multiple clients independently.

Confident and adaptable in cross-border and multicultural environments.
