Our Delivery Track Record

Track record · Delivered shipments

Advance payment is trust. Here’s our side of the bargain.

Import and wholesale trade runs on payment before goods move — that’s the honest reality of the business, and it’s exactly why you should demand proof before paying anyone, including us. This page is that proof: delivered shipments, the protections around your money, the option to collect your goods from our store yourself, and — most importantly — the ways to verify every claim independently.

Video evidence

Don’t read about deliveries. Watch them.

Real footage from real shipments — containers offloading, counters handing over, trucks arriving at client gates. Cameras don’t do promises.

Footage shows genuine Wigmore shipments; client-identifying details are shown only with permission or edited out. Every video here can be discussed in detail during your verification — ask the desk which shipment it was, and what the paperwork looked like.

Your money’s guardrails

Six protections between your advance and our delivery.

Company account only

Every payment goes to Wigmore Trading Limited’s corporate bank account — never a personal account, never a “quick transfer to our manager.” Anyone asking otherwise, in our name or any name, is robbing you.

Proforma before payment

You pay against a written proforma invoice stating goods, quantities, price, delivery terms and timeline — so what you paid for is on paper before a naira moves, not remembered differently afterwards.

Staged payments on request

For first transactions and larger orders, ask the desk about staging — deposit to initiate, balance against shipping documents or delivery. We’d rather structure trust than demand it.

Documents at every stage

Order confirmation, shipping documents, waybills, delivery notes — a paper trail you can follow, shared as the shipment moves, so silence is never part of the service.

References on request

Serious buyers get reference contacts — real clients who’ve agreed to take your call. A supplier who can’t produce a single willing reference after years of trading is telling you something.

Physical addresses you can visit

A 12,000 ft² Lagos store you can walk into before you pay — and collect from after: The Invent, KM 29 Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lekki; 10 Abafun Crescent, Labone, Accra. Fraud doesn’t keep warehouses, and it certainly doesn’t run a collection counter.

Prefer to come and get it?

Pay, get a reference, walk in, collect.

The simplest answer to advance-payment nerves: skip delivery entirely. Order and pay, then collect your goods over the counter at our store — checked in front of you before you leave.

STEP 1Order & payConfirm your order on WhatsApp or the wholesale store; pay the proforma to the company account.
STEP 2Get your collection referenceWe send a collection reference and confirm when your goods are ready — often same day for stocked items.
STEP 3Walk in with ID + referenceCome to the collection counter with your reference and a valid ID — or authorise someone else in writing to collect for you.
STEP 4Check & carryGoods counted and inspected with you at the counter, signed for, and they’re yours — no courier, no waiting at home.

Before you set out: confirm your collection window on WhatsApp first — stocked items are often same-day, while import orders collect once cleared and received. Bring the ID matching your order (or a signed authorisation letter plus the collector’s ID), and allow time to check your goods properly at the counter; we won’t rush you, and you shouldn’t let anyone rush you either.

The part that matters most

Don’t trust this page. Verify it.

Any website can claim deliveries — including this one. What separates a real trading company from a well-designed scam is that we want you to check: the checks below take fifteen minutes, cost nothing, and every legitimate supplier on earth will pass them happily. Run them on us. Run them on everyone.

If any seller — again, including us — resists verification, walks you away from written terms, or hurries your payment, close the chat. Pressure is the scammer’s only real product.

Your 15-minute verification checklist

01Check the RC number. Search “Wigmore Trading” and RC 1098828 on the CAC public register — icrp.cac.gov.ng/public-search.
02Match the bank account name. The account you pay must read the registered company name — confirm at your bank before transfer.
03Visit or video-call. Walk into the Lekki store, or ask the desk for a live video call from the warehouse floor. Two minutes settles everything.
04Ask for a reference. Request a client reference in your own industry and actually make the call.
05Get it in writing. Proforma invoice with delivery terms and timeline, signed, before payment — and keep it.

Straight answers

The advance-payment conversation, had honestly.

Why do I have to pay in advance at all?
Because that’s how the goods themselves are bought: manufacturers and shipping lines don’t extend credit to traders on your behalf, so goods are paid for before they move — by us, with your funds committed. It’s the standard mechanics of import and wholesale trade worldwide, not a Nigerian quirk. The right response to that reality isn’t avoiding advance payment; it’s verifying who you pay and papering what you’ve paid for — which is what this whole page is about.
Can I just collect my goods myself instead of waiting for delivery?
Yes — and for first orders it’s the arrangement we most recommend: order, pay the proforma, receive a collection reference, then walk into our Lagos store (or Accra office by arrangement) with your ID and collect over the counter, checking everything in front of us before you leave. It works like any click-and-collect counter: your goods, held under your reference, handed to you or to someone you authorise in writing. See how collection works.
Can payments be staged instead of 100% upfront?
Often, yes — particularly for first transactions, larger orders, and machinery: a deposit initiates the order, with the balance against shipping documents or delivery. Structures depend on the goods and the deal, and are agreed in the written quote. We consider “how do we make you comfortable?” a legitimate negotiation, not an insult.
What happens if something goes wrong with my shipment?
The written terms you paid against govern it — that’s precisely why we insist on the proforma. Delays get communicated as they happen with documents, not silence; marine and goods-in-transit insurance can be included in your quote for the risks nobody controls. What you’ll never get is a disappeared WhatsApp line — our addresses, registration and thirteen years of trading are all fixed to this name.
Can I speak to a past customer before I pay?
Yes — ask the desk for a reference, ideally in your own industry, and we’ll connect you to a client who has agreed to take calls. Be reasonable with their time, and expect us to ask the same courtesy of you once you’ve received a few smooth deliveries of your own.
How do I know this page itself is honest?
You don’t — and shouldn’t — take a webpage’s word for anything involving money. That’s why every claim here routes to something checkable outside our control: the CAC register for our registration, a physical address you can visit, a bank account name your own bank confirms, references who don’t work for us. Judge us by how enthusiastically we cooperate with your checking.

Delivery records shown are drawn from Wigmore Trading’s operations with client-identifying details masked or anonymised for confidentiality; underlying documentation for comparable shipments is available to genuine prospective clients during verification, under confidentiality. Trust, then verify — then trade

Run the checks. Then let’s move your goods.

Fifteen minutes of verification, a written proforma, and a desk that treats your caution as good sense — that’s how first orders become five-year relationships.
