As we expand our telecoms solutions division, we are looking for a high-performing professional with deep expertise in enterprise sales, compliance, and promotional campaign sales (Voice & SMS) within the Nigerian telecoms space.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Telecoms Business Development Manager to lead and drive strategic growth in our telecoms solutions offering. This role is ideal for a Head of Sales or Senior Sales Manager currently working at MTN, Glo, Airtel, or 9mobile, with expertise in enterprise sales, compliance-driven solutions, and promotional Voice & SMS campaigns.

The ideal candidate will leverage their deep industry knowledge, network, and experience to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, build high-value partnerships, and create tailored telecom solutions for businesses looking to optimize their customer engagement and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive sales strategies for Voice & SMS promotional campaigns, bulk messaging, and other telecoms-related solutions.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with large enterprises, banks, fintechs, and SMEs looking for targeted telecom solutions.
  • Work closely with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure all telecom offerings align with NCC (Nigerian Communications Commission) guidelines.
  • Leverage existing relationships in the telecom industry to drive rapid market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Provide insights and advisory services on customer acquisition and retention strategies using telecom products.
  • Manage high-value client relationships, negotiate contracts, and deliver customized solutions to drive customer engagement and marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to position Wigmore Trading as a key player in the telecoms business solutions space.
  • Lead a sales team to execute high-impact deals and achieve revenue targets.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience in a senior sales role within a top telecom company in Nigeria (MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile).
  • Strong background in enterprise sales, business development, and regulatory/compliance-related telecom solutions.
  • Proven track record of selling Voice & SMS promotional bundles, bulk messaging, and targeted telecom campaigns.
  • Strong network and relationships within the telecoms, banking, fintech, and corporate sectors.
  • Deep understanding of NCC regulations, telecom compliance frameworks, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach.
