About the Role

African Land is seeking a disciplined and experienced Security Operations Supervisor to lead and coordinate security personnel and ensure the effective implementation of safety protocols across our managed properties in Accra. This role is responsible for maintaining operational control, enforcing security standards, and responding decisively to incidents within residential and commercial environments.

The ideal candidate will have a background in military, private security, or law enforcement, and strong leadership skills to manage a rotating team of Security Officers while collaborating with property and facility managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities of all security personnel across assigned sites.

• Develop and enforce property-specific security protocols, patrol schedules, and incident response procedures.

• Conduct daily briefings, shift handovers, and post inspections to ensure readiness and coverage.

• Investigate security breaches, document incidents, and recommend corrective actions.

• Liaise with law enforcement, emergency responders, and community stakeholders when necessary.

• Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of security infrastructure (e.g., CCTV, alarms, lighting).

• Train new guards on standard operating procedures, emergency drills, and customer service.

• Evaluate performance of security staff and implement disciplinary measures as required.

• Prepare weekly security reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation for management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma; additional certifications in security management, law enforcement, or emergency response are preferred.

• Licensed under Ghanaian security regulations or certified through an accredited security training program.

Experience

• At least 4–6 years of experience in a professional security role, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership position.

• Prior experience managing security in real estate, corporate premises, or estate environments is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with national safety standards and conflict resolution techniques.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership, discipline, and command presence.

• Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in incident documentation and report writing.

• Technically aware of security systems and surveillance tools.

• Physically fit and able to manage site patrols, emergencies, and training exercises.
