Role Overview
African Land is seeking a results-driven Real Estate Agent to join its growing team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in property sales, client relationship management, and market development within South Africa’s dynamic residential and commercial real estate sectors.
This role is suited for a motivated professional with excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills who thrives in a performance-driven environment and can represent African Land’s premium brand in the South African property market.
Key Responsibilities

Market and sell residential, commercial, and land properties across Cape Town and the Western Cape region.

Build and manage a strong client portfolio of buyers, sellers, and investors.

Conduct property viewings, valuations, and market appraisals.

Negotiate offers, draft proposals, and oversee transaction processes through to closing.

Maintain accurate and updated property listings and sales reports in CRM systems.

Collaborate with marketing teams to promote listings across digital, print, and social media channels.

Stay informed of local market trends, zoning laws, and investment opportunities.

Represent African Land professionally at networking events, exhibitions, and investor briefings.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

Registered or eligible for registration with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) in South Africa.

University of Cape Town (UCT) – Property Studies, Economics, or Finance

Stellenbosch University – Business or Management Sciences

University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) – Real Estate or Commerce

University of Pretoria – Construction Economics or Real Estate

Comparable African institutions such as the University of Nairobi, University of Ghana, or University of Lagos reflect the desired standard.

Skills & Experience

3–6 years of experience in real estate sales, brokerage, or investment advisory.

Proven record of closing property transactions and achieving sales targets.

Strong understanding of South African property laws and Cape Town’s local market.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Fluency in English required; proficiency in Afrikaans or Xhosa is advantageous.

Competency in CRM systems, digital marketing tools, and Microsoft Office.

Well-developed analytical and presentation abilities.
