Role Overview

Wigmore Trading is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Harare and across Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing client relationships, identifying trade opportunities, and driving sales growth across FMCG, industrial, and commodity sectors.

This is a performance-based role designed for a results-oriented sales professional with deep market knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for trade and business development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and onboard new clients, distributors, and wholesalers across Zimbabwe.

  • Promote Wigmore Trading’s diverse range of FMCG, industrial, and commodity products.

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions in collaboration with the Lagos head office.

  • Conduct market research and provide insights into opportunities, competitors, and local demand.

  • Manage client communications, proposals, and after-sales support.

  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and delivery.

  • Represent Wigmore Trading at trade fairs, exhibitions, and business events.

  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market developments.


Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or trading.

  • Prior experience in FMCG, import/export, or B2B distribution is highly desirable.

  • Strong network within Zimbabwe’s retail, wholesale, or industrial sectors is advantageous.


Skills & Experience

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • In-depth understanding of Zimbabwe’s trade and logistics environment.

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Shona or Ndebele is an asset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in commission-based roles.

  • Highly organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple clients independently.
