Role Overview
Wigmore Trading is seeking a proactive and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Dakar and across Senegal. The successful candidate will identify new clients, build strategic relationships, and grow sales of Wigmore Trading’s FMCG, industrial, and commodity products.
This position is ideal for a performance-driven sales professional with a deep understanding of the Senegalese market, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for trade and business development.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and onboard new clients, distributors, and wholesalers throughout Senegal.

Promote Wigmore Trading’s full portfolio of FMCG, industrial, and commodity products.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules in collaboration with Wigmore’s head office.

Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and monitor competitor activity.

Manage customer relationships, quotations, and after-sales support.

Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure efficient delivery and client satisfaction.

Represent Wigmore Trading at business forums, trade fairs, and networking events.

Provide regular reports on market performance and client activity.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

3–5 years of experience in sales, trading, or business development.

Proven experience in FMCG, import/export, or distribution is highly desirable.

Existing business relationships within Senegal’s retail and wholesale sectors are advantageous.
Skills & Experience

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Fluency in French required; English proficiency is an advantage.

Strong understanding of Senegal’s trade and logistics environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Self-disciplined, organized, and capable of managing multiple clients independently.

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in commission-based environments.
