Role Overview

Wigmore Trading is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Lagos and across Nigeria’s southwest region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business relationships, managing existing clients, and driving sales performance across FMCG, industrial, and commodity sectors.

This position is ideal for a performance-oriented, self-motivated sales professional with a deep understanding of Nigeria’s trade environment and a strong passion for business development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and corporate clients across Lagos and the southwest region.

  • Promote Wigmore Trading’s portfolio of FMCG, industrial, and commodity products.

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms in collaboration with Wigmore’s head office.

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive dynamics.

  • Manage client communications, quotations, and after-sales support.

  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure efficient delivery and client satisfaction.

  • Represent Wigmore Trading at trade fairs, exhibitions, and business networking events.

  • Prepare reports on sales performance, client activity, and market updates.


Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

  • 3–5 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or trading.

  • Experience in FMCG, import/export, or B2B distribution highly desirable.

  • Established relationships within Lagos’s wholesale, retail, or manufacturing sectors an advantage.


Skills & Experience

  • Excellent sales, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Fluency in English required; Yoruba proficiency is an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s trade and logistics systems.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

  • Organized, analytical, and capable of working independently.

  • Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets.
