Role Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Land & Property Surveyor of the highest professional and academic caliber to join our Lagos-based team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in land acquisition due diligence, title verification, valuation, surveying, and regulatory compliance across a diverse property portfolio.
This role is ideal for a surveyor who combines technical depth, legal and regulatory fluency, and commercial awareness in Nigeria’s complex land and property environment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct land and property surveys, boundary identification, and site measurements.

Lead land acquisition due diligence, including title investigation and verification.

Prepare, review, and interpret survey plans, deed plans, and land documentation.

Manage land title regularisation processes, including Governor’s Consent, C of O, and other statutory approvals.

Liaise with the Lagos State Lands Bureau, Surveyor-General’s Office, and relevant regulatory authorities.

Undertake property valuations for acquisition, development, investment, and financing purposes.

Provide advisory support on land tenure, zoning, encumbrances, and development constraints.

Support dispute resolution related to boundaries, ownership, and land documentation.

Maintain accurate land records, GIS data, and documentation control.

Advise internal teams on land risks, mitigation strategies, and transaction structuring.
Required Qualifications
-
B.Sc/B.Tech and M.Sc (or M.Tech) in Estate Management, Land Surveying, or Estate Management & Valuation from a recognised, competitive institution.

5–10+ years of professional experience in land surveying, property valuation, and land administration, preferably in Lagos.

Strong, demonstrable experience handling Lagos land titles, documentation, and regulatory processes.

Excellent understanding of Nigerian land tenure systems, planning laws, and property regulations.

Proven ability to manage sensitive transactions and high-value land assets.

Registration with the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON)

Membership of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV)

Technical & Professional Skills

Strong competence in land surveying methods, measurement, and interpretation.

Proficiency with survey tools and mapping technologies (including GPS/GNSS, total stations, and GIS where applicable).

Strong valuation skills across land, residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.

High accuracy in documentation, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
