As we expand our footprint in Equatorial Guinea, we are looking for an exceptional Commodity Salesperson to drive revenue, secure key accounts, and strengthen our market position.


Role Overview

The Commodity Salesperson will manage sales of commodities to industrial buyers, traders, and institutional clients. You will build and nurture client relationships, identify new business opportunities, negotiate commercial contracts, and provide market intelligence to inform strategic decisions.

This is a high-impact, performance-driven role suited to professionals with a strong track record in trading or commodity markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within Equatorial Guinea and regionally

  • Maintain and grow a portfolio of clients, including corporate buyers, distributors, and trading partners

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to maximise revenue and margins

  • Monitor market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and regulatory impacts

  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis for leadership

  • Collaborate with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution

  • Represent Wigmore Trading at industry events, conferences, and client engagements

  • Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and compliance


Candidate Requirements

We are seeking candidates with exceptional academic credentials OR extensive commodities sales experience:

Academic Excellence

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, Agribusiness, Engineering, or a related field

  • Educated at a leading university in Equatorial Guinea or a recognised international equivalent

  • Professional credentials in commodities, trade finance, or supply chain management are desirable

OR

Extensive Industry Experience

  • 5+ years of proven success in commodity sales, trading, or business development

  • Strong network and understanding of regional commodity markets

  • Demonstrated ability to close complex commercial deals

  • Experience with price risk management and contract negotiation


Core Competencies

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

  • Commercial acumen with analytical capabilities

  • Self-driven with a strong performance orientation

  • Ability to build and sustain long-term client relationships

  • Cultural fluency and professionalism

  • Fluency in Spanish required; English proficiency preferred
