Feed mill additives should earn their place through a measurable production or quality objective. More retained moisture, harder pellets or lower power use is not a complete specification on its own. Wigmore Trading helps Nigerian mills source processing products and define the information needed to compare an offer against their actual line conditions.

For MoistMax, Fepro P, Fepro L or a pellet lubricant enquiry, tell us the feed type, production rate and current constraint. A product that suits one formula or mixer may perform differently with another. Ask for technical review, current documents and a controlled trial before extending a purchase across the full production schedule.

Define the problem at the right process stage

Separate mixing, conditioning, pelleting, cooling, bagging and storage observations. Excess fines at dispatch may have several causes, including handling after the pellet mill. Identify where samples are taken and how quality is measured. A supplier cannot meaningfully address a pellet-durability complaint if the baseline changes between tests.

Record the recipe reference, ingredient variation, throughput, equipment settings and ambient conditions. Check scale calibration and liquid addition records. Include normal maintenance status so a trial does not confuse a newly serviced machine with an additive effect. Keep the comparison focused on saleable, compliant output.

MoistMax, Fepro P and Fepro L

Addeasy describes MoistMax as a liquid feed-processing and pellet-quality product, Fepro P for moisture management and mold prevention, and Fepro L as a liquid acidifier for feed hygiene and digestive support. Those roles differ. Confirm the offered formulation and avoid choosing a product merely because another mill uses the same name.

For a moisture-retention additive, ask which final-feed quality limits must still be met. Adding moisture to increase saleable weight without controlling safety and quality is not an acceptable optimization target. Your mill should agree the finished specification and verify it after cooling and during intended storage.

Plan the liquid application system

Discuss the dosing point, mixer design, liquid distribution, spray pattern and measurement method with the equipment and additive suppliers. Ask about compatibility with pumps, pipes, seals and contact surfaces. Include installation or commissioning requirements in the commercial brief rather than assuming a container can simply be poured into any process.

Confirm how operators identify products, handle containers and record deviations. The safety data sheet should inform handling arrangements and emergency procedures. Application rates and compatibility instructions must come from the approved product documentation and your technical adviser, not a generic internet recipe.

A useful pellet-quality trial

Choose a stable formula and record a baseline before introducing the approved change. Measure the same outputs consistently: production rate, energy per tonne where available, fines, durability, moisture and relevant storage quality. Retain the sampling method with the results. Decide in advance what improvement would justify the cost.

Account for rework and rejected feed. A line producing more tonnes but more unsaleable fines may not have improved economically. Likewise, a visually attractive pellet is not proof of correct nutrition or microbiological quality. Review both processing and feed acceptance with the appropriate specialists.

Compare a delivered cost per usable tonne

Request pack size, product price, freight, handling and the technical basis for the intended inclusion. Add any equipment, maintenance and testing costs. Compare these with the measured reduction in waste or processing cost from the trial. Do not publish or accept a guaranteed percentage saving without evidence for the same process and conditions.

For repeat orders, agree the formulation reference, batch documents, expiry requirements and whether a change in composition needs approval. A clear reorder specification helps a mill avoid unintended substitutions during a busy production period.

Feed mill sourcing through Wigmore Trading

Send your mill location, feed species, monthly output, line description and the problem you want to resolve. Attach existing quality records and a product label if you have one. Wigmore Trading can discuss Addeasy sourcing, an itemised quotation and delivery requirements for Nigeria and wider African enquiries. Supply timing and technical suitability are confirmed for the particular order.

Manufacturer and reference information

Product information must be checked against current manufacturer documents and the requirements for the exact formulation and destination. Your veterinarian, nutritionist or quality adviser should review the proposed use.
