Feed mold inhibitors and grain preservatives help buyers address a storage problem before it becomes an expensive rejected batch. The right enquiry describes what is being stored, its condition, how long it will remain in store and how the product will be applied. Wigmore Trading can help Nigerian feed mills, grain traders and farms source preservation products against that brief.

For Baograin, Antimold JM, Antimold J or Protecid enquiries, include the exact product name and intended material. A preservative selected for one ingredient or process should not be assumed suitable for another. Confirm the current label, application instructions and regulatory position before placing a commercial order.

Start with the storage conditions

List the ingredient, supplier, arrival date, moisture findings, storage temperature observations and expected dispatch date. Check the roof, floor, pallets, ventilation and handling equipment for sources of water or residual material. A preservative cannot repair a leaking store or make poorly controlled stock rotation irrelevant.

For bagged feed, inspect packaging integrity and contact with damp walls or floors. For bulk grain, identify the silo or bay and monitor changes across the batch. Keep accepted, suspect and rejected lots identifiable. This makes it possible to investigate a complaint and prevents a new delivery from losing its identity in older stock.

Baograin and grain preservation

Addeasy describes Baograin as a liquid grain preservative for storage and transport, applied through spraying equipment. When requesting a quote, ask about the grain types, condition limits, application system and proposed preservation period covered by the current documentation. Confirm whether the equipment can distribute the product evenly at your throughput.

Grain storage protection also involves insect management, but a mold preservative is not automatically a registered grain insecticide or fumigant. If your enquiry includes grain insect control, specify it separately and seek an authorised solution for that use. Do not add a feed acid product to an insect-control programme on the strength of a broad preservation claim.

Antimold JM and Antimold J

The manufacturer’s feed-quality range identifies Antimold JM as a solid mold inhibitor and Antimold J as a propionic-acid-based product. These are starting points for specification, not a reason to assume equal performance or direct substitution. Ask for the latest composition information, storage directions and application conditions for the offered pack.

Tell us whether you need a powder for a mixer, a liquid for spraying or another delivery form. Explain the batching sequence and how dosing is checked. A product that is convenient to handle at one mill may require equipment changes at another. Include those changes when comparing quotations.

Protein ingredients and Protecid

Addeasy positions Protecid for animal-protein feed materials such as fishmeal and poultry meal. If that matches your requirement, identify the ingredient, supplier quality records and target storage period. Request confirmation of the product’s intended use and the safety information relevant to handlers and application equipment.

Do not treat a preservative as proof that contaminated material is acceptable. Mold prevention, mycotoxin management and microbiological acceptance are connected but separate questions. Use the appropriate tests and professional advice to decide whether a batch may enter your feed supply.

Validate shelf life rather than assuming it

Set a trial objective before comparing treatments. Record untreated baseline conditions where appropriate, the actual application, packaging and storage exposure, then evaluate against agreed quality criteria. Retain labelled samples through a suitable procedure. The claimed shelf life must relate to your material and conditions, not simply a headline from a different market.

For a commercial agreement, define how non-conforming deliveries are handled and what documentation accompanies each batch. Ask for remaining product shelf life on arrival, not only the manufacturer’s original expiry period. Long transport and clearance stages can reduce the useful time available at the mill.

Request a preservation quote

Send Wigmore Trading the ingredient or finished-feed type, monthly tonnes, packaging, moisture information, equipment and delivery location. We can discuss Addeasy sourcing, alternative specifications where requested and the landed commercial scope. For Nigerian and international orders, availability, permits and delivery timing are confirmed in writing for the particular product.

Manufacturer and reference information

Product information must be checked against current manufacturer documents and the requirements for the exact formulation and destination. Your veterinarian, nutritionist or quality adviser should review the proposed use.
