About the Role
African Land is seeking a detail-oriented and financially savvy Property Service Charge Coordinator to oversee service charge budgeting, reconciliation, and administration across our managed properties in Accra. This role is central to ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance in how service charges are allocated and reported to tenants and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will work closely with our property management, finance, and facilities teams to develop service charge budgets, track expenditures, and prepare accurate reporting for both residential and commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare annual service charge budgets in collaboration with property and facilities managers.

Monitor actual expenditure against budgeted service charges across multiple properties.

Reconcile year-end service charge accounts and produce statements for tenants and clients.

Process and verify vendor invoices and payments related to common area services.

Maintain accurate records of service charge accounts, contracts, and maintenance schedules.

Communicate clearly with tenants regarding service charge queries, adjustments, and obligations.

Assist with drafting leases and addendums that involve service charge clauses.

Ensure service charge procedures comply with lease terms and Ghanaian legal standards.

Support audits of service charge accounts and respond to auditor queries.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate Management, or a related field.

Professional certification in property management or accounting is advantageous (e.g., ACCA, ICAG).
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in service charge administration, property finance, or real estate accounting.

Experience in commercial or residential real estate environments.

Familiarity with lease agreements, service contracts, and financial reconciliations.
Skills & Competencies

Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or property management software.

Ability to interpret legal lease clauses related to service charges.
