Commercial shipping from Spain to another EU member state should begin with the goods’ customs status, collection point and delivery requirement. A dispatch of Union goods differs from exporting outside the EU customs territory. EU status does not remove every obligation
The EU customs framework allows Union goods to circulate within its customs territory, but VAT, excise, statistical reporting, product controls and transport requirements can still apply. Non-Union goods or a route through a non-EU territory may require different procedures.
The European Commission explains free-circulation status. Confirm the actual transaction, goods and route with the relevant customs and tax advisers rather than assuming that every European shipment has the same treatment.
Road groupage or dedicated transport?
Groupage can suit smaller commercial loads, while a dedicated vehicle may offer a different handling and scheduling profile. Compare collection windows, transfers, loading metres or other charge basis, delivery appointments and access. A country name alone is not enough to determine the service.
For islands or routes involving ferry legs, confirm the actual transport plan and conditions. Do not infer that an all-road option or a fixed transit time exists for every destination listed below.

Packing and receiving
Agree pallet suitability, stackability, securing and packaging that survives the planned handling. State whether either site needs a tail lift, booking slot, lifting equipment or assistance. A failed delivery can create storage or redelivery charges.
Temperature-controlled goods, dangerous goods and regulated products need specific acceptance. Provide the relevant information before quotation. Do not add such cargo to a booking described only as general freight.
Compare commercial terms
Ask whether collection, linehaul, delivery, fuel or access surcharges and waiting are included. Confirm liability and insurance scope, claims procedures and proof of delivery. A standard transport-liability limit is not necessarily full cargo-value cover.
