Buying from Spain starts with the product and the market where it will be used or sold. Spanish suppliers can offer goods made in Spain, goods processed there and goods originating elsewhere. Choose a product guide before requesting prices

The directory below groups the supplied products by their practical buying requirements. Textiles need composition and sample control; machinery needs duty and acceptance tests; food needs product eligibility, quality and storage; medical goods need the appropriate authorised supply chain. A broad export category is not a complete purchasing specification.

For Spanish origin claims, identify the producer and manufacturing location. A warehouse or seller in Spain does not automatically establish Spanish preferential origin. Ask for evidence appropriate to the contractual claim and the destination’s requirements.

Check the supplier and the offer

Verify legal identity, the role of the seller, production capability and any claimed brand appointment. Connect approved samples and inspection reports to the actual bulk order. Investigate inconsistent company names or unexpected bank-beneficiary changes through an independently verified contact.

Compare quotations on the same specification and commercial scope. Record currency, validity, quantity, inspection, export preparation, transport, taxes and final delivery responsibilities. An attractive unit price may exclude work required to make the goods usable at destination.

Distinguish EU dispatch from external export

A movement of Union goods to another EU member state differs from an export outside the EU customs territory. VAT, excise, reporting, product and transport obligations can still apply within the EU. For external exports, confirm the exporter, customs representation and destination importer before booking.

Use the European Commission’s export guidance as a starting point for market and procedure research. The exact product, customs status and destination determine the actual requirements; a generic checklist does not establish approval.

Regulated products need a specific review

Food, animal-derived products, medicines, chemicals, technical equipment and waste-related materials can require additional evidence or authorisation. Relevant professional and official checks should precede a purchase commitment. The guides address lawful civilian commerce and do not offer prohibited goods or routes around controls.
