Art, decorative goods, watches and fashion jewellery from Spain require different identity, authenticity and delivery checks. Paintings and cultural-property review
Verify lawful ownership and authority to sell. Establish the work’s identity, provenance, condition and any authenticity evidence. A seller’s statement or photograph is not a substitute for professional review where value or attribution makes that necessary.
Spain’s Ministry of Culture export information should be consulted for cultural-property requirements. Whether permission is needed depends on the actual item and applicable rules. This guide does not offer removal of protected works without authorisation.
Watches and jewellery
Base-metal and precious-metal watches need exact models, materials, condition, included accessories and authenticity evidence. Imitation jewellery should be described accurately; it must not be presented as precious material without support.
Verify brand-use and supply rights, warranty validity and destination requirements. A branded box alone does not establish authenticity. For precious-metal components, agree composition and any required marking evidence.
Decorative products
Interior glassware, mirrors, ceramic pieces and other decorative goods need dimensions, materials, finish and permitted variation. Handmade goods may have an approved range rather than identical units, but that range should be agreed before bulk ordering.
Use approved samples and product images for retail assortments. Confirm that the buyer has rights to use supplied photography, designs and brand material. Do not infer commercial reproduction rights from ownership of a physical artwork.
