Olive oil and vegetable oils
Olive oil needs the exact category and quality criteria required by the buyer and destination. Agree analytical and sensory acceptance where relevant. Labels and origin claims should be supported for the actual lot and supply chain.
Palm oil and other vegetable oils offered from Spain may have production or processing origins outside Spain. Confirm whether the buyer needs Spanish processing, Spanish dispatch or a particular agricultural origin. These are different contractual statements.
Margarine, animal fat and petroleum-derived products
Margarine requires composition, intended food application, performance, allergens and storage conditions. Animal fats need species, processing and sanitary eligibility. They should not be treated as ordinary vegetable oil.
Petroleum jelly and lubricating products belong to separate technical specifications and safety reviews. A cosmetic, pharmaceutical or industrial application requires evidence appropriate to that use; a common product name does not establish suitability.
Testing and traceability
Agree relevant quality and composition limits, methods, sample approval and lot identification. Verify the producer or processor and the seller’s role. A generic certificate should not replace evidence tied to the actual goods.
Define minimum shelf life or stability requirements, preservation and handling. Retain samples and records where useful for claims and repeat orders. Unexpected changes in odour, appearance or performance should have an agreed investigation process.
