Electrical machinery and electronic components from Spain should fit the installation’s ratings, interfaces and operating conditions. Electrical machinery and components

Electric soldering equipment, other electrical machinery, printed circuit boards, semiconductor devices, electrical ignitions and related parts need exact model or drawing references. Specify interfaces, software or firmware where relevant, operating conditions and permitted alternatives.

Components intended for vehicles, industrial controls or another specialised system require compatibility review. A part with a similar rating may not meet the mechanical, thermal or functional requirements.

Protection, alarms and control equipment

High-voltage protection equipment, audio alarms and traffic-control components require application-specific design and evidence. Define the system role and the engineer responsible for integration. Equipment supply does not automatically provide a compliant installed system.

Specify fault levels, enclosure suitability, signalling, power and environmental requirements as applicable. Changes to a protection or alarm design should have an approval and testing process.

Test evidence and traceability

Request manufacturer identification, model-specific documentation and relevant test records. For circuit boards and components, agree revision control, marking, packaging and lot traceability. A certificate for a different model is not evidence for the item offered.

For bulk procurement, define inspection and sample-testing coverage and how nonconforming goods are handled. Verify any manufacturer appointment or authorised supply claim rather than assuming it from a logo.

Integration and delivery

Check current export controls and destination requirements for the exact technology and use. An ordinary civilian application does not remove the need for model-level classification where applicable.
