Paper and converted products
Uncoated paper, shaped paper, tissue and paper labels need the actual grade, dimensions, surface and relevant performance limits. Labels require adhesive, substrate, print and service conditions. A product suitable for one package may fail on another surface or in a cold chain.
For other printed material, agree artwork, colour references, content approval, finish and intellectual-property rights. Keep revisions controlled so the bulk order uses the approved version. Confirm required market-language and labelling content before production.
Printing inks and production
Ink needs the printing process, substrate, colour, drying or curing requirements and intended use. Food or pharmaceutical packaging can require additional evidence. Do not infer application suitability from a colour match alone.
Industrial printers and paper machinery are equipment purchases with separate capacity, utility, software and support requirements. If machinery is part of the enquiry, provide a duty schedule as well as the consumable specification.
Recovered paper and environmental controls
Recovered paper requires an agreed grade, contamination limits, source and legal classification. Establish whether the movement is regulated as waste and which authorisations apply to exporter, carrier and receiving facility. A trade description should not be used to conceal mixed or prohibited waste.
Inspection should connect the offered grade to the actual bales or lots. Define moisture, non-paper material and rejection procedures. A sample photograph cannot establish the condition of an entire shipment.
