Role Overview
Wigmore Trading is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Nairobi and across Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, acquiring new clients, and facilitating trade relationships in the FMCG and commodities sectors.
This is a performance-driven, independent role ideal for a self-motivated sales professional with strong local market connections and a passion for global trade.
Key Responsibilities

Prospect, identify, and engage new clients, distributors, and wholesalers across Kenya.

Promote Wigmore Trading’s product portfolio, including FMCG, industrial, and commodity lines.

Negotiate pricing, volumes, and payment terms with clients in coordination with head office.

Manage client communications, quotations, and follow-ups to secure orders.

Collaborate with the logistics and export teams to ensure smooth transaction execution.

Conduct market research and provide insights on pricing, competitors, and trends.

Represent Wigmore Trading at trade exhibitions, networking events, and industry forums.

Maintain accurate client and sales data, reporting progress regularly to management.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

3–5 years of experience in sales, trading, or business development.

Experience in FMCG, import/export, or B2B distribution is an advantage.

Existing client base or network within Kenya’s retail, wholesale, or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
Skills & Experience

Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills.

Strong organizational and follow-up abilities.

Fluent in English and Swahili (additional regional languages are an advantage).

Knowledge of international trade practices, documentation, and supply chain processes.

Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Independent, proactive, and comfortable managing remote relationships.
